Parents who homeschool their children often lack the resources to incorporate engaging science experimentation into their curriculum. The Citizen Science Lab is a great resource to supplement your child’s education and sharpen your own scientific skills.
Homeschool workshops are designed to introduce participants to introductory laboratory skills. This year we will be offering homeschool classes twice a week (Monday and Wednesday from 1pm-3pm), these classes will be identical. The reason for this is to give the homeschool community more chances to seek out the opportunities at the lab.
Lasting about 1–2 hours across one or two days, this is a great way to start exploring the life sciences by learning the basics of various experimental procedures.
Some workshops yield results that can’t be observed until the next session. A minimum of 6 registrants is required to hold the workshop. A maximum of 20 students can be accommodated at a time.
We are always adding new Homeschool Workshops, check the Events page for the newest workshop themes!
