Flying Beyond Intergalactic Boundaries Through STEM!
As we watch visionaries fuel the next steps of space exploration, The Citizen Science Lab remains even more committed to its mission of increasing the number of underrepresented groups in the sciences. With that said, the theme of this year’s event is Flying Beyond Intergalactic Boundaries Through STEM!
To commemorate this universal mission, the event will feature some of the greatest MCs*:
Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Rakim, Das EFX and Positive K
as part of the Masters of the Mic fundraising concert on May 29, 2022, at STAGE AE.
This exciting event will raise funds for key initiatives:
- The Citizen Science Lab’s SeaPerch Program
- The Citizen Science Lab’s ICE-T Project
- A New Building – the first independent laboratory designed to offer enhanced experiences for The Citizen Science Lab’s programs and workshops
The event will also feature raffles, guest appearances, and special moments to celebrate the continual growth of our organization. More importantly, the night will feature the presentation of the second annual Madura Award Scholarship Fund winners. The Madura Award Scholarship Fund, a STEM scholarship fund for Pittsburgh-area high school and middle school students, recognizes some of our brightest and most promising future scientists.
