Our online test preparation course is available 24/7 and features all the latest updates and information to successfully prepare for the FAA Remote Pilot Examination, a vital step for a career in the commercial drone industry.
Topics covered throughout this course include: rules/regulations, weather, operations, performance and more!
Each module features all the latest information to help you succeed through written content, video lectures, quizzes and practice examinations. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a customized certificate!
Once finished with our course participants should be ready to take their FAA official exam.
Class Structure:
Participants will create their own user name and password when they enroll.
After entering the academy, participants will see a series of lessons, videos and quizzes.
Each module covers the topics relevant to the FAA Remote Pilot examinations.
After reading the material, participants will watch a video on the topic.
Following the video participants will then then take a quiz . They have three tries on each quiz and must obtain at least a 70% to pass.
Office hours will take place with Dr. Lori Paluti, certified UAS pilot and CEO of Pittsburgh Drone Services, via Zoom on Thursdays starting at 4pm.
The Drone Academy program took place from August 2018 to March 2019 and is no longer taking applications.
