Imagine what your kids will discover this summer at The Citizen Science Lab!

We offer fun, hands-on camps for grades 4 through 12. With a full range of science and engineering adventures -- including robotics, outer space, zoology, microbiology, DNA, and drones -- there’s sure to be something that excites and inspires the budding scientist in your home.

Check out our camp offerings at both of our locations: Hill District and South Hills.

A great place to learn and connect with other budding scientists. We have participated in many of their classes and a summer camp. We are never disappointed with the kindness of the teachers and the level
of information given. It is a great learning
resource in Pittsburgh.

Who are the camp instructors?

The Citizen Science Lab  camp instructors are professional teachers and college students who are majoring in science or education. Our lab assistants are college students who are experienced in working with children. All our educators and staff have been carefully vetted and have passed appropriate background checks. Our camps and workshops have been developed by educators and members of The Citizen Science Lab full-time staff. Each camp experience has been created to be appropriate for the ages and grade levels listed, and to be engaging, enriching, and lots of fun.

How many children are in each camp?

The number of children in each camp session varies, but we make sure that an adequate number of instructors are on hand for each group. There are no more than 24 students in each camp.

What does the camp registration fee include?

Camp registration fees include all scheduled activities and instruction.

A limited number of need-based scholarships are available. Please download The CSL scholarship form for more information.
